Good Evening:
Los Banos taxpayers are facing yet another $65,000+ special election because the District 1 seat has been vacated by resignation twice in a single term.
The residents of District 1 deserve to have this seat decided by local voters—not by developers, special interest groups, or sitting council members attempting to sway the outcome. Conducting media interviews for candidates at a council member’s private business was an obvious conflict of interest that should never happen again.
District 1 voters are thoroughly fatigued by the constant tactics and smear campaigns used to undermine candidates who refuse to answer to special interests. It is time to step back and let the voters choose their own qualified representative.
Thank you
Julie Creighton
