Minutes of the Town Council Special Meeting
Tuesday, December 9, 2025
The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos conducted a special meeting in person and via teleconference.
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:00 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Matthew Hudes, Vice Mayor Rob Moore, Council Member Mary Badame, Council Member Rob Rennie, Council Member Maria Ristow.
Absent: None.
VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS (ONLY ON ITEMS ON THE AGENDA)
Maragret Abe-Koga, Santa Clara County District 5 Supervisor - Commented on the partnership with Town’s, commended outgoing Mayor Matthew Hudes, and presented him with a commendation.
Mayor Hudes recognized elected officials in the audience.
Raanin Mohsen, Director for Congressman Sam Liccardo
- Commended outgoing Mayor Hudes for his service to the Town and partnership with Sam Liccardo’s Office and presented him with a certificate.
Belal Aftab, Saratoga City Council Member
- Commended outgoing Mayor Hudes and congratulated the incoming Mayor.
OTHER BUSINESS
1. Recognize Outgoing Mayor Matthew Hudes; and Elect a Mayor and Vice Mayor.
Chris Constantin, Town Manager, presented a video commemorating Mayor Hudes’s year as Mayor and presented the Mayor with a commemorative plaque.
Mayor Hudes opened public comment.
Gail Pellerin, Assembly Member
- Commended outgoing Mayor Hudes and welcomed the new Mayor.
Mayor Hudes closed public comment.
Outgoing Mayor Hudes commented on the key accomplishments of the Town during his year as Mayor and thanked his family and the community.

The Council Members commended outgoing Mayor Hudes for his service to the Town and his leadership.
MOTION: Motion by Mayor Hudes to nominate Vice Mayor Moore to be the Town’s next Mayor. Seconded by Council Member Ristow.
VOTE: Motion passed unanimously.
The Council Members commended Mayor-Elect Moore.
Mayor-Elect Moore provided brief comments on his upcoming Mayoral year, and requested Council Member Rennie provide comments.
Council Member Rennie commented on the Mayor rotation and stated he would be declining a nomination for Vice Mayor.
MOTION: Motion by Council Member Rennie to nominate Council Member Ristow to be the Town’s next Vice Mayor. Seconded by Council Member Badame.
VOTE: Motion passed unanimously.
Kylie Clark administered the ceremonial Oath of Office to Vice Mayor-Elect Ristow and MayorElect Moore.
Vice Mayor Ristow provided brief comments on her upcoming Vice Mayoral year.
Former Mayor Hudes passed the gavel to Mayor Moore.
Mayor Moore accepted the gavel, thanked the community, and made closing comments.

The meeting adjourned at 7:56 p.m.
