Item 4 - Authorize the Town Manager to Execute the First Amendment to an Agreement for Professional Services with Dudek for Environmental Monitoring and Support Services Related to Roadside Vegetation Management Increasing Compensation by $24,915, for a Total Amount Not to Exceed $404,057

Re: #3 & #4 - Related to Roadside Vegetation
This is ridiculous that it cost over $1,100,000 to spray for weeds / maintenance up to 10 feet off roadway maximum for approximately 22 or is it 31 miles at this time of year? … that Town Council should report this as highway robbery to someone. (uh.. is there require town permit for 1/2 a million $? .. or kickbacks to whoever is getting most of this million dollars)
The low bid was $371,265.50 … so this bidder made a mistake, do not consent to withdrawal, but re-negotiate for $100,000 more. Total cost should be no more than $500,000. It doesn’t cost $9,000 to cut down a tree. An outside firm that is being paid over $400,000 to do the job of Town supervisor/ manager on this project should be concerning to all.
Town Council is not being a responsible party if this goes through. AT LEAST PULL
AND TALK ABOUT THESE TWO AGENDA ITEMS, SO THAT THE VOTERS CAN VOTE OUT THE GUILTY PARTIES!
Question, is this being done under the emergency management system that you need to get emergency funds for? - I don’t get it… this is for next June fire season and there should not be that much to maintain going into fall and winter.?? Honestly it looks like a big giant payoff. Is this a paid off to the Fire Marshal to lower the number to 566 from 1214. (Nobody see that, RIGHT)
