Town Council Special Meeting - January 31, 2024
1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
CONSIDERATION OF REQUEST FOR REMOTE PARTICIPATION BY MAYOR SAUSER PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54953(f)(2)(A)(ii).
2. PUBLIC COMMENTS
The Public Comment portion of the agenda provides the public with an opportunity to address the Town Council on matters not otherwise listed on the agenda. Under California law the Town Council is prohibited from generally discussing or taking action on items not included in the agenda; however, the Town Council may briefly respond to comments or questions from members of the public. Therefore, the Town Council will listen to all public comment, but will not generally discuss the matter or take action on it. Requests for service from the Town may also be made at the Town offices during regular business hours. Members of the public desiring to speak on a matter appearing on the agenda should ask the Mayor for the opportunity to be heard when the item comes up for Council consideration.
3. CLOSED SESSION
3.1 Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8, the Town Council will hold a conference with its representatives in regard to property negotiations pertaining to:
Property: State Route 203 Public Right of Way
Agency Negotiators: Daniel C. Holler, Amy Callanan, and Rob Patterson Negotiating Parties: Town of Mammoth Lakes and California Department of Transportation Under Negotiation: Price and terms of payment.
3.2 Conference with Legal Counsel—Anticipated litigation: Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to paragraph (3) of subdivision (d) of Section 54956.9: (two cases).
3.3 Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8, the Town Council will hold a conference with its representatives in regard to property negotiations pertaining to:
Property: 1629 Majestic Pines Drive, Unit 91 (APN: 033-301-091-000) – Bigwood Complex Agency Negotiators: Daniel C. Holler, Nolan Bobroff, and Rob Patterson Negotiating Parties: Town of Mammoth Lakes and Property Owner, Mark Bense Under Negotiation: Sales price and terms of payment for the purchase of the property
3.4 Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8, the Town Council will hold a conference with its representatives in regard to property negotiations pertaining to:
Property: 384 Joaquin Road, Unit 34 (APN: 033-172-034-000) – Forest Creek Complex Agency Negotiators: Daniel C. Holler, Nolan Bobroff, and Rob Patterson Negotiating Parties: Town of Mammoth Lakes and Property Owner, Zarrinkelk Family Trust 01-28-15 Under Negotiation: Sales price and terms of payment for the purchase of the property
3.5 PUBLIC EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT (Gov’t Code Sec. 54957) Title: (Town Manager).
