Cultural Arts Manager Stewart introduced the commissioners and provided a brief overview of the Work Plan items to be discussed.
Chair Marcy and Cultural Arts Manager Stewart provided the PowerPoint presentation regarding the proposed Cultural Arts Commission Work Plan in the following order:

The City Council provided direction to explore parking meters and fire hydrants under the Arts Grants - Utility Beautification Work Plan item.
Arts Grants - Performing Arts, Cultural Arts Manager Stewart Cultural Arts Manager Stewart, Parks and Recreation Director Leyman, and Commissioner Rubino responded to City Council questions.
The City Council provided direction to add an additional $6,000 for Shakespeare in the Park to be appropriated at a later date and to add the exploration of more performing arts options for the City.

The City Council provided direction to explore a contract with CJ Rench regarding a permanent installation of the "Circles" sculpture and to bring it back for City Council consideration at a later date.

Parks and Recreation Commission
Parks and Recreation Director Leyman introduced Chair Karger.
Chair Karger introduced the Commissioners and provided a brief overview of the Work Plan items to be discussed.

The City Council provided direction to explore the possibility of County funding for the park.

Parks and Recreation Director Leyman and Commissioner Greenberg responded to City Council questions.
The City Council provided direction to add a comprehensive study of Sand Dune Park to the Work Plan and to have staff identify maintenance issues in the parks with their respective costs to be included in this years budget.
City Manager Moe provided that maintenance of the parks will appear in this years budget cycle.
At 8:31 PM, the City Council recessed and reconvened at 8:36 PM with all Councilmembers present.

The City Council provided direction to explore the tree donations, pavers, military wall, legacy donation process, and 501(c)(3) process and return to City Council.
Parks and Recreation Director Leyman confirmed that they will return with an art donor component as well.
Develop Options for Red House, Parks and Recreation Director Leyman The City Council approved the addition of this item to the Work Plan.
Lighted Beach Volleyball Courts on the South Side of the Pier, Parks and Recreation Director Leyman
Parks and Recreation Director Leyman responded to City Council questions.
The City Council provided direction to defer this request for another year.
The City Council approved the Parks and Recreation Commission Work Plan.
