Rendering of Approved Railing Replacement
The preferred design alternative preserves the historic look by matching the style of the existing railing with minor modifications to meet current building codes and to accommodate maintenance considerations, including:
Maintaining the round shaped horizontal railings, posts, and Seafoam Green color Approved/preferred railing material and finish includes polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) color coated aluminum tubing
Removable segmented installation method
Addition of a fifth horizontal rail and extra post at the ends of removable segments Height of existing railing will, for most part, remain the same Bolted connections to existing concrete curb
Goal is to maintain the current look and overall character of the Pier railings to maximum extent possible
