RESOLUTION NO. 22-0088
A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY
COUNCIL APPROVING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF
DROUGHT RESTRICTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 7.44.030
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Cit y Council hereby approves the implementation of drought restrictions at Stage 2 in accordance with Municipal Code Section
7.44.030.
SECTION 2. In accordance with the emergency water conservation regulations adopted by the State Water Resources Control Boar d on May 24, 2022, the City Council also implements the following as part of the City’s Stage 2 drought restrictions:
The use of potable water is prohibited for the irrigation of non -functional turf at commercial, industrial, and institutional sites. Howe ver, the use of water is not prohibited by this section to the extent necessary to ensure the health of trees and other perennial non -turf plantings or to the extent necessary to address an immediate health and safety need.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
