A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO CALPROMAX
ENGINEERING, INC. FOR THE MANHATTAN BEACH
BOULEVARD AND PECK AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL
IMPROVEMENT PROJEC T; APPROVING THE PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO APPROVE ADDITIONAL WORK, IF NECESSARY
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Manhattan Beac h and Calpromax Engineering, Inc. (“Contractor”), dated August 16, 2022, for the Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Peck Avenue Traffic Signal Improvement Project (“Project”), in the amount of $611,936.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves the plans and specifications for the Project.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs t he City Manager to execute the Agreement and further authorizes the City Manager to pay Contractor up to an additional $ 122,387 for additional work and volatility adjustment, if necessary.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
