RESOLUTION NO. 22-1508
A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO APPLIED
RESTORATION, INC. FOR THE PIER RAILING REPLACEMENT
PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE
ADDITIONAL WORK, IF NECESSARY; APPROVING THE PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS ; AND APPROVING A N ADDITIONAL
APPROPRIATION
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Manhattan Beach and Applied Restoration, Inc. (“Contractor”), dated November 15, 2022, for the Pier Railing Replacement Project (“Project”), in the amount of $1,783,870.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs t he City Manager to execute the Agreement and fu rther authorizes the City Manager and/or his or her designee to pay Contractor up to an additional $ 178,387 for additional work and volatility adjustment, if necessary.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby approves the plans and specifications for the Project.
SECTION 4. The City Council hereby approves the appropriation dated November 15, 2022, in the amount of $350,000 from the Pier Fund to the Pier Railings Replacement Project.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
