A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY
COUNCIL A CCEPTING A PUBLIC STREET, UTILITY,
SIDEWALK, AND DRIVEWAY EASEMENT AT 11 0 S.
ROWELL AVENUE
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City of Manhatt an Beach (“City”) has undertaken a sidewalk improvement project (“Project”) to provide ADA ramps along Rowell Avenue and close the sidewalk gap in the frontage of the Manhattan Beach Unified School District Pennekamp Elementary School between 1 st Street an d Curtis Avenue. In connection with this Project, the City requires an easement for public street, utility, sidewalk and driveway (“Easement”) on, in and to portion of the property commonly known as 110 S. Rowell Avenue in the City of Manhattan Beach (“Pro perty”) owned by Manhattan Beach Unified School District , a California public school district (“Owner”).
SECTION 2 . By Manhattan Beach Unified School District Board Resolution 2022 -39 dated September 27, 2022 , the Owner’s Board authorized and approved the Owner to execute the Grant Easement and Agreement with the City that grants the Easement to the City . A true and correct copy of the Grant Easement and A greement is attached hereto as Attachment A and is hereby incorporated by this reference.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby accepts and consents to the conveyances of the above referenced Easement to the City for public purposes.
SECTION 4. The City C ouncil hereby authorizes the City Manager to accept the Easement on behalf of the City and to record said Easement on behalf of the City by executing Grant Easement and Agreement with the Owner (Attachment A) and any other forms necessary to effectuate the acceptance and recordation of the Easement.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and ad option of this resolution.

This is to certify that the interest in real property conveyed by the deed or grant dated __________ from Manhattan Beach Unified School District, a California public school district, is hereby accepted by the undersigned agent on behalf of the City of Manhattan Beach pursuant to authority conferred by Resolution No. XX_XXXX of the City Council of the City of Manhattan Beach, adopted on December 6, 2022, and the grantee consents to the recordation thereof by it duly authorized agent.
