RESOLUTION NO. 23-0022
A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO FS
CONSTRACTORS, INC. FOR THE ROWELL AVENUE SIDEWALK
GAP CLOSURE BETWEEN 1 ST ST AND CURTIS AVE PROJECT ;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE
ADDITIONAL WORK, IF NECESSARY ; AND, APPROVING THE
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Manhattan Beach and FS Construction, Inc. (“Contractor”), dated March 7, 2023 , for the Rowell Avenue Sidewalk Gap Closure Between 1 st St and Curtis Ave Project (“Project”), in the amount of $547,970.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs t he City Manager to execute the Agreement and further authorizes the City Manager to pay Contractor up to an additional $54,797 for additional work, if necessary.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby approves the plans and specifications for the Project.
SECTION 4. The City Cle rk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
