RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL
GRANTING A SPECIAL PERMIT TO ALLOW ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGE USE ON PUBLIC PROPERTY FOR THE BOARD AND
COMMISSION MEMBERS’ RECOGNITITION RECEPTION
RECITALS
A. Manhattan Beach Municipal Code Chapter 4.48 prohibits the use of alcohol on all City property without the recommendation of the Chief of Police and approval of the City Council.
B. Each year the City hosts a reception for the board and commission members to recognize them for their volunteerism and public service to the City.
C. This year, the City is hosting the recognition reception for board and commission members at the Manhattan Beach Art Center.
D. Such event provides a public benefit to the community.
NOW THEREFORE, THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY FINDS, DETERMINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. After considering the recommendation of the Police Chief, the City Council hereby grants a special permit for the consumption of wine and beer at the recognition reception for the City’s board and commission members to be held at the Manhattan Beach Art Center.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
