RESOLUTION NO. 23-0033
A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY
COUNCIL AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO
GENTRY GENERAL ENGIN EERING, INC. FOR THE
CITYWIDE CONCRETE RE PAIRS CYCLE 2 PROJECT;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE
ADDITIONAL WORK, IF NECESSARY; AND APPROVING
THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CITYWIDE CONCRETE
REPAIRS CYCLE 2 PROJECT
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Manhattan Beach and Gentry General Engineering, Inc. (“Contractor”), dated April 4 , 2023 , for the Citywide Concrete Repairs Cycle 2 Project (“Project”), in the amount of $439,475.25.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves the specifications for the Project.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs t he City Manager to execute the Agreement and further authorizes the City Manager and/or his or her designee to pay Contractor up to an additional $43,947.75 for additional work, if necessary.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
