RESOLUTION NO. 23-0040
A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO HARDY AND
HARPER, INC. FOR THE CYCLE 2 STREET RESURFACING
PROJECT ENCOMPASSING AGNES ROAD, FLOURNOY ROAD,
and 27TH AND 29 TH STREETS; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO APPROVE ADDITIONAL WORK, IF NECESSARY
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Manhattan Beach and Hardy and Harper, Inc. (“Contractor”), dated April 18, 2023, for the Cycle 2 Street Resurfacing Project encompassing Agnes Road, Flournoy Road, 27 th and 29 th Streets (“Project”), in the amount of $3,110,000.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs t he C ity Manager to execute the Agreement and further authorizes the City Manager to pay Contractor up to an additional $ 622,000 for additional work and volatility adjustment, if necessary.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby approves the plans and specifications for the Project.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
