A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO SPRINTURF,
LLC FOR THE MARINE AVENUE PARK SYNTHETIC FIELD TURF
REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO APPROVE ADDITIONAL WORK, IF NECESSARY; AND
APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
MARINE AVENUE PARK SYNTHETIC FIELD TURF
REPLACEMENT PROJECT
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Manhattan Beach and Sprinturf, LLC (“Contractor”), dated July 5, 2023, for the Marine Avenue Park Synthetic Field Turf Replacement Project (“Project”), in the amount of $491,350.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves reallocation funding in the amount of $200,000 from the Deferred Park Maintenance Program in the CIP Fund to the Project.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs t he City Manager to execute the Agreement and further authorizes the City Manager and/or his or her designee to pay Contractor up to an additional $50,000 for additional work and volatility adjustment, if necessary.
SECTION 4. The City Council hereby approves the plans an d specifications for the Project.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
