A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY
COUNCIL APPROVING EMPLOYEE ADDITIONAL COST
SHARE (GC 20516) FOR CLASSIC FULL-TIME SWORN
UNREPRESENTED EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, the Full-Time Unrepresented Employees of the City of Manhattan Beach are not covered by a Memorandum of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) requires that the City of Manhattan Beach adopt a reso lution that specifically identifies the information for unrepresented employees in order to amend the contract with CalPERS to include cost share for the following employees; Sworn classic unrepresented employees (Police Chief, Fire Chief, and Division Chief)
Shall pay an additional 3% towards the employer rate per Government Code 20516
To be effective the beginning of the pay period following the date of the CalPERS Contract Amendment
WHEREAS, this resolution is an agreement between the City of Manhattan Beach and its Full-Time Unrepresented Employees (sworn classic unrepresented employees) to include cost share pursuant to Government Code 20516.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the governing body of the City of Manhattan Beach approves this Resolution to amend the existing contract between the City of Manhattan Beach and CalPERS under Government Code 20516.
