A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY
COUNCIL AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO
ASPLUNDH CONSTRUCTIO N, LLC FOR THE
UNDERGROUND UTILITY ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 19-12
AND 19 -14 PROJECTS ; APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM
THE GENERAL FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO APPROVE ADDITIONAL WORK, IF
NECESSARY; AND APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS
FOR THE WORK
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Manhattan Beach and Asplundh Construction, LLC (“Contractor”), dated October 3, 2023, for the Underground Utility Assessment District 19-12 and 19-14 Projects (“Projects”), in the amount of $105,300.00.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby appropriates $81,875 from the General Fund to the District 19-14 Project.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs t he City Manager to execute the Agreement and further authorizes the City Manager and/or his or her designee to pay Contractor up to an additional $26,325.00 for additional work, if necessary.
SECTION 4. The City Council hereby approves the specifications for the work to be performed by Contractor.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
