A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY
COUNCIL AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO
STEPHEN DORECK EQUIPMENT RENTAL, INC. FOR THE
CYCLE 2 WATER INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT
AND STREET RESURFACING PROJECT; APPROVING
THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS; AND ADOPTION OF A
DETERMINATION OF EXEMPTION PURSUANT TO STATE
CEQA GUIDELINES
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Manhattan Beach and Stephen Doreck Equipment Rental, Inc. (“Contractor”), dated November 21, 2023, for the Cycle 2 Water Infrastructure Improvements and Street Resurfacing Project (“Project”), in the amount of $2,354,319.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby app roves the plans and specifications for the Project.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs t he City Manager and/or his or her designee to execute the Agreement and further authorizes the City Manager to pay Contractor up to an additional $588,579 for additional work, if necessary.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
