RESOLUTION NO. 24-0002
A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY
COUNCIL AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO
RAMCO GENERAL ENGINEERING CONTRACTOR FOR
THE CERAMIC STUDIOS KILN INSTALLATION PROJECT;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE
ADDITIONAL WORK, IF NECESSARY; AND, APPROVING
THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Manhattan Beach and RAMCO General Engineering Contractor (“Contractor”), dated January 16, 2024 , for the Ceramic Studios Kiln Installation Project (“Project”), in the amount of $273,773.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby appropriates $160,000 from the CIP Fund to fund the Project.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager to execute the Agreement and further authorizes the City Manager and/or his or her designee to pay Contractor up to an additional $ 27,377.30 for additional work, if necessary.
SECTION 4. The City Council hereby approves the plans and specifications for the Project.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
