Proclamation
National Employee Appreciation Day is held on the first Friday in March and was initially created in 1995 as a day for management to recognize workers for their hard work; and
companies and businesses that promote a positive culture through awarding and recognizing its employees have found that it leads to a happier more productive work place environment; and
employers who express employee appreciation tend to increase employee job satisfaction as well; and
it is often easy to forget that employees are some of the most important assets a company can possess as they play a critical role in customer satisfaction and retention ; and
the City of Manhattan Beach employees are dedicated individuals that perform their jobs with professionalism and integrity in order to improve lives, and help the community become a better place to live, work, play and retire.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that I, Joe Franklin, Mayor of the City of Manhattan Beach, California, on behalf of the City Council and the residents of Manhattan Beach, do hereby proclaim March 1, 2024, as
National Employee Appreciation Day
in honor of all employees, but especially to the staff in the City of Manhattan Beach for their dedication and devotion to their work.
