A. CALL TO ORDER:
The regular meeting of the Parking and Public Improvements Commission (Commission) of the City of Manhattan Beach, California was held in hybrid format (Zoom Call and in person at City Hall, 1400 Highland Avenue. Manhattan Beach, CA 90266) on April 25, 2024 at the hour of 4:01pm.

MOTION: It was moved and seconded (Marcy/DaGiau) to approve the minutes without corrections.

F. GENERAL BUSINESS
04/25/24-2 Review of Proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-2025 through 2028-2029 Five- Year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Plan
City Engineer Doherty summarized the staff report.
The commissioners had questions about the following projects during the presentation:
• Budgetary clarifications
• Artesia & Aviation SB Right-Turn Improvement
• MBB Pavement Rehabilitation from Sepulveda Boulevard to Dianthus Street • Annual Parking Facilities Capital Improvements Program • Replace Escalators in Metlox Plaza
• Grant funding
• Pier Railing Replacement

Acting Chair DaGiau asked for clarification on the golf course storm drain project and stated that the golf course has flooded multiple times this year. Director Lee responded that a temporary pump was installed to remediate the issue until the new pump is installed.
Commissioner Marcy thanked staff for the presentation and suggested to look for any opportunity to share with the public the amount of grant funding received for upcoming City projects.

This item was postponed to a future meeting.

04/25/24-4 Staff Updates
Traffic Engineer Zandvliet provided the following staff update on the following item:
• City Council Meeting on May 21 , 2024 to discuss the Oak Avenue Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan recommendations
Director Mirzakhanian provided the following staff update on the following item:
• On April 16, 2024, City Council approved an amendment to the original Outdoor Dining agreement to allow for the preparation of preliminary civil engineered plans 04/25/24-5 Commissioner Items
