NOW, THEREFORE THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct.

SECTION 2. The Annual Street Resurfacing Program has been delayed by the Pandemic and subsequent inflation resulting in construction cost escalation.

The original bids received for the Cycle 2 Street Resurfacing Project were higher than the allowable budget which resulted in a bifurcation of the scope and a rebid of the project. The following previously proposed and adopted projects from fiscal years 2023-2024 may also utilize fiscal year 2024 -2025 Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) revenues. The Capital Improvement Plan Budget will utilize funding in the approximate amount of $ 907,812 from the fiscal year 2024-2025 RMRA revenues funded by Senate Bill 1. The City intends to resurface or reconstruct these streets by cold mill and overlay, or full -depth reconstruction, respectively. Where necessary, repairs to the curb and gutter, sidewalk, and installation/reconstruction of curb ramps will also be constructed to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The following previously proposed and adopted projects may also utilize Fiscal Year 2024 -25 Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account revenues in their delivery. With the relisting of these projects in the adopted fiscal year resolution, the City is reaffirming to the public and the State our intent to fund these projects with Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account revenues:
