Mayor Franklin called the meeting to order.

A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Howorth, seconded by Councilmember Lesser, to approve the agenda. The motion carried by the following vote:

At 6:03 PM, the City Council reconvened into Open Session with all City Councilmembers present.
CLOSED SESSION ANNOUNCEMENT IN OPEN SESSIONIV.
Mayor Franklin announced that the City Council will continue the Closed Session to immediately after the 6:00 PM Regular Meeting.

At 6:03 PM, the meeting was recessed.

At 7:36 PM, the City Council reconvened into Closed Session with all City Councilmembers present.
CLOSED SESSION ANNOUNCEMENT IN OPEN SESSIONVII.
City Attorney Barrow announced that the City Council went into Closed Session to discuss five separate items. With respect to items A, B, and D the City Council gave direction. With respect to item C, by a three to two vote with Councilmember Montgomery and Councilmember Napolitano voting no, the City Council gave direction to Special Counsel. With respect to item E, the City Manager item, the City Council gave direction to the City Attorney and to the City Manager recruitment firm, Bob Murray and Associates.
