RESOLUTION NO. 24-0119
A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY
COUNCIL AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO
MYERS & SONS CONSTRUCTION, LLC FOR THE
VOORHEES SEWER LIFT STATION IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANGER TO
APPROVE ADDITIONAL WORK , IF NECESSARY ; AND
APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves that certain agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Manhattan Beach (“City”) and Myers & Sons Construction, LLC (“Contractor”), dated November 6, 2024 , for the Voorhees Avenue Sewer Lift Station Improvements Project (“Project”) , in the amount of $3,991,992.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby a ppropriates $7 10,000 from the Sewer Fund to fund the Project.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager to execute the Agreement and further authorizes the City Manager and/or his or her designee to pay Contractor up to an additional $ 400,000 for additional work, if necessary.
SECTION 4. The City C ouncil hereby approves the plans and specifications for the Project.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
