National Catholic Schools Week is an annual national celebration of the important role that Catholic elementary, secondary schools and carly childhood conters play in providing a comprchensive, values-based education for America's young people; and Whereas. tus year the theme of National Catholic Schools Weck is "Faith. Excellence. Scrvice."; and Wherets, American Martyrs School has been part of Manhattan Beach, California since September 1917 and American Martyrs has helped to make our cily a loving community; and Whereas American Martyrs School prepares its' students not only for academic excellence, but also has produced students with spiritual values that make them good citizens who contribute to their communily and become Icaders of'the future; and
Miereas. we recognize the teachers and auxiliary personnel who have provided and continue to provide outstanding education that emphasizes the formation of moral values and a commitment to the community service to the future gencration ion Catholic schools; and Micreas,
Manhattan Beach is honored to recognize and appreciate the incredible work in the education system provided by the Catholic Schools in our community and the vast work they have and will continue to do lor the residents of Manhattan Beach.
Now. Therefore Be I Rescleed that 1, Amy Thomas Howork, Mayor of the City of Manhattan Beach, California, on behalf of the City Council and the residents of Manhattan Beach, do hereby proclaim January 26 - February 1, 2025, as
National Catholic Schools Week
and urge all citizens to recognize and to respect Catholic Schools for their commitment and dedication with which American Martyrs School has served our community:
