Whereas, March 29, 202.5, marks the 52nd Anniversary of when the last I 'nited States Miliary unit lelt Vietnam and the final group of American prisoners of'war were freed; and Whereas 350,000 men and women fom the state of California serred in Vietnam; and Whereas, the names of more than 5,500 Californians who laid down their lires are etched on the black granite ofthe Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C:; and Miereas, the State of California joins the Nation in recognizing Vietnam veterans be setting aside March 29th of each read as National Vietnam War Veterans Dar; and Wherers, on this day; we remember and honor those who selfless/t served, who gare the ultimate sacrifice, who were rounded and live with those scars daily; and who are still missing in Southeast Asia; we will never forget you; and
Wherers, the freedoms we enjor today are a direct result of'the courage, sacrifice, and derotion of our members of the United States Armed Forces. We, as American citizens, are gratefil for their strength and dedication; and
Whereas we want to conver a hearty welcome home and thank you to those who never heard it and declare that we are vert proud of you and rom service to your country and the State of California.
