Whereas International Firelighters' Day is observed each year on Mar Ath to honor and remember past firefighters who have lost their lives while serving their communities, to express gratitude to those who hare serred in this line of work, and to show support and appreciation for those who presently serve; and Wheress regardless of the language a firefighter speaks, or the country in which he or she works and resides, all firefighters fight against the same enemi-tire; and Wherers firelighters follow a long line of tradition and honor that inspires them to help colleagues, neighbors and strangers alike; and
Whereas. most people would risk their lives to save a tamily member, friend or even a per, but a firetighter makes the conscious decision dails to risk their lives for those in their communits that they have never met; and
Whereas. the demands of firefighting are accompanied be both personal and physical tolls that all tiretighters knowingly accept while risking their lives to protect the lives of others; and
Whereas. in placing the well-being of society abore their personal concerns the tirefighters of the City of Manhattan Beach exempliti the lighest nobilit and greatest commitment to humanitarian ideals.
Now, Therefore, Be It Rescued that 1, Amy Thomas Hororth, Mayor of the Cirs of Manhattan Beach, Calitornia, on behalt of the City Council and the residents of Manhattan Beach, do hereby proclaim the day of Mar 1, 2025, as
International Firefighters Day
and I encourage our citizens to thank and show their appreciation to firelighters who dedicate their les to protect life and propert for all.
