Wherers. Jewish American Heritage Month is observed during the month of May to celebrate and pay tribute to the contributions of generations of Jewish Americans who helped weare the fabric of American histort, culture, and society; and
Whereas. Jewish Americans have played a vital role in shaping the cultural, economic, scientific, and social landscape of the United States, contributing to the adrancement of arts, education, business, medicine, and public serrice; and
Wherers, Jewish Americans have created lives for themselves and their families and played indispensable roles in our Nation's civic and community life, making invaluable contributions to our Nation through their leadership and achierements; and Mereness the Jewish communiț in Manhattan Beach has been an integral part of our city's diverse and vibrant cultural mosaic, bringing with them a deep commitment to family, faith, and commumit; and
the City of Manhattan Beach shares an obligation to condemn and combat antisemitism, including but not limited to plysical attacks, vandalism, verbal and phsical harassment, and hatefil comments posted on social media; and
Mierenes, there is a need for education and policies that are culturally competent when describing; discussing, or addressing the impacts of being Jewish in all aspects of American societ; including discourse and policy; and
Merenes, we celebrate the rich and diverse heritage of the Jewish American commumiț, including those who live, work and play in the City of Manhattan Beach.
