Wheres. the Manhattan Beach Fire Department implemented a program wherebr the Department rouk recognize outstanding efforts of Firefighters and encourage motivation and morale be naming a "Firelighter of the Year;" and Wherers. nominees must be safet emplorees of ant rank and must have demonstrated a commitment to the mission statement of the Department, an outstanding and protessional attitude and demeanor, and made a significant contribution to the Department and the communiț; and
Mereces, the distinction and honor of being named "2024 Firefighter of the Year" recently went to Firefighter Michael Shields, who has shown the professional qualities of a team plarer, expertise, and the ability to perform his duties at an exceptionalls high lerel; and
