Dear Marzena Laskowska & City of Manhattan Beach,

Subject: Bid Withdrawal for Pacific Avenue Sewer Lift Station Conversion To Gravity Line Project

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to formally withdraw our bid submission for the Pacific Avenue Sewer Lift Station Conversion To Gravity Line public works project, which was submitted on February 12, 2025. After a thorough review of our bid documents, we have identified a major clerical error that has led to the inaccuracy of our total bid amount.

Please see attached MMC’s Internal Cost Estimate for this project. The lump sum cost for Line-Item No. 7 was not entered correctly during the electronic bid submission process. A value of $600 K was entered instead of $2.6M. Attached is also a detailed breakdown for Line-Item No. 7 to show how we calculated the $2.6M lump sum cost.

Given this discrepancy, we believe it is in the best interest of all parties involved to withdraw our bid at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding in this matter. In the event of a rebid for this project, MMC kindly requests the opportunity to participate as this is a very high profile project.

We remain committed to maintaining a professional relationship with the City of Manhattan Beach and look forward to the opportunity to participate in future projects.

Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact me at 714-521-2022 or [email protected].
