the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) sponsors a unique nationwide crime, drug and volence prevention program called National Night Out; and Mherers. the "12"'Annual National Night Out" provides an opportunițy for Manhattan Beach residents to join forces with thousands of other communities across the country in promoting cooperative, police community crime prevention efforts; and Whereres. Neighborhood Watch plays a vital role in assisting the Manhattan Beach Police Department through joint crime prevention partnerships throughout our communit and is supportive of "National Night Out 2025" on each of our blocks; and it is essential that all citizens of Manhattan Beach be aware of the importance of crime Whereas. preventon programs and the impact that their participation can have on the reducing crime, drugs and violence in the City of Manhattan Beach; and police-communits partnerships, Neighborhood Watch, awareness and cooperation Whereas. are important themes of the "National Night Out" program; and New, Therefore, Be It Reselved that I. Joe Franklin, Mayor ofthe Ciy of Manhattan Beach, California, on behalf of the City Council and the residents of Manhattan Beach, do herebr proclaim August 5, 2025 as
