A. CALL TO ORDER:
The regular meeting of the Parking and Public Improvements Commission (Commission) of the City of Manhattan Beach, California was held in hybrid format (Zoom Call and in person at City Hall, 1400 Highland Avenue. Manhattan Beach, CA 90266) on June 26, 2025 at the hour of 4:00pm.

06/26/25-1 Regular Meeting – April 24, 2025
MOTION: It was moved and seconded (Kirschenbaum/Marcy) to approve the minutes without corrections.

ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Balla

Chair GaGiau opened Audience Participation.

06/26/25-2 Election of Chair and Vice-Chair
MOTION: It was moved and seconded (O’Neill/Kirschenbaum) to nominate Vice-Chair Marcy as Chair and Commissioner Balla as Vice-Chair.
AYES: O’Neill, Kirshenbaum, Vice-Chair Marcy, Chair DaGiau NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None

06/26/2025-3 Staff Updates
Traffic Engineer Zandvliet provided staff updates on the following items:
• Left turn extension on Manhattan Beach Boulevard at Aviation Boulevard • Storm drain project along Rowell Avenue, Peck Avenue, and 2nd Street • Road reconstruction on Marine Avenue from Valley Drive to Blanche Road • Parking Lot 3

o 69 spaces plus one street parking space; 145 spaces previously o New trash enclosure to be leased to four restaurants

The meeting was adjourned at 5:00p.m. to the Parking and Public Improvements Commission Regular Meeting on July 24, 2025 at 4:00p.m. at the City Hall Council Chambers (1400 Highland Ave. Manhattan Beach, CA 90266) and via ZOOM Call.
