Proclamation
the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce is an essential organization dedicated to strengthening the local economy and promoting business growth and prosperity in Manhattan Beach; and
this year marks the 113th anniversary of the founding of the US Chamber of Commerce, a national institution to represent the unified interests of US under President William Howard Taft; and
the Chamber of Commerce fosters stronger, more vibrant communities by advocating for priorities to promote economic prosperity, boost quality of life and create access to meaningful employment and opportunity for all residents; and local businesses form the foundation of our community’s economy, provide jobs for residents, and contribute to the unique character and vitality of our city: and the Chamber of Commerce are champions of communities, serving as a trusted resource for businesses, residents and other stakeholders; and a strong, active, and well -supported Chamber of Commerce is critical to the continued success and resilience of our local business environment; and the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce was founded on April 12, 1956 and currently has 452 members.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that I, David Lesser, Mayor of the City of Manhattan Beach, California, on behalf of the City Council and the residents of Manhattan Beach, do hereby proclaim October 15, 2025, as
National Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day
and encourage all Manhattan Beach residents to learn more about the chamber, its impact and support of local businesses.
