A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY
COUNCIL AMENDING THE CITY’S USER FEE SCHEDULE
TO UPDATE DAILY FILM PERMIT FEES
RECITALS
WHEREAS. The City Council approved the one -year pilot program with FilmLA and proposed daily film fees at the January 20, 2026, City Council Meeting; WHEREAS. The City Council adopts and amends the Citywide User Fee Schedule periodically to ensure transparency in cost recovery and compliance with State law; and
WHEREAS. The City Council desires to amend the daily film permit fees within the City’s adopted User Fee Schedule to reflect the fees that will be charged during the one- year pilot program with FilmLA.
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves the updated daily film permit fees as set forth below:
• Private Property $850
• Parks/Public Property $1,050 + hourly rental fee
• Ocean/Strand/Downtown $1,350
SECTION 2. The City’s User Fee Schedule is amended to update the daily film fees section set forth on Exhibit A.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption and the daily film fees shall be incorporated into the published Citywide User Fee Schedule.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
