Whereas, March 12th marks the 14th Anniversary of Girl Scouts of the USA, founded be Juliette Gordon Lor mn 1912 m Sarannal, Georgia; and
Miereness duroughout its long and distinguished histort; Girl Scouting has inspired millions of girls and women with the lughest ideals of character, conduct, and patriotism; and Wherere's. Girl Scouting connects girls to a world of possibilities in a positive and inclusive, girl-led environment, where girls are inspired to discorer their passions and empowered to reach their fill potential; and
Wherers, drough Girl Scouting, girls gain comrage, confidence, and character to make their communities and the woild a better place; and
Mherei. girls get exposure to new experiences in Science, Techmolog, Engineering, and Math (STEM), the outdoors, and entreprenewship drough Girl Scout's unique programs; and Whereres. nearly 25 million current Girl Scout members nationwide will be celebrating 114 ears of this American tradition, with over 50 million women who are former Girl Scouts and living proot otthe impact of this amazing Morement.
Now. Therefore. Be Ji Resolved that 1, Did Lesser, Mor of the Cin of Manhattan Beach, California, on behalf of the City Council and the residents of Manhattan Beach, do herebr proclaim March 8, 2020, drough March 14, 2020, as
