Whereas correctional ofticers are trained law enforcement professionals dedicated to maintaining safe and secure correctional facilities and ensuring public safet; and Wherers. correctional facilities across the U'nited States, both civilian and militars; public and private, adult and juvenile, are run be highly qualitied and experienced individuals with a deep understanding of the challenges within the profession; and Where correctional officers and emplorees are responsible for the custodi, care and rehabilitation of thousands of offenders ever rear, as well as the maintenance of safe and secure facilities; and
Whereas. correctional officers and emplorees serve admirable in many different capacities, including jail administrators, wardens, chaplains, muses, supervisors, social workers, teachers, managers and directors; and
Wherere. correctional officers and emplorees teach, train, mentor, counsel, and treat thousands of offenders; and
Whereas. the sacritices of correctional ofticers and their families often go unnoticed, ret their contributions to the communits are intaluable; and
Whereas. Manhattan Beach recognizes and understands the compler, dangerous and challenging responsibilities carried out be ever single member of the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
