A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF MANHATTAN BEACH AND THE MANHATTAN BEACH FIREFIGHTERS’ ASSOCIATION
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the Manhattan Beach City Council provided parameters for the negotiation of compensation, benefits and other matters within the scope of representation; WHEREAS, the City Council authorized its chief negotiator to negotiate within those set of parameters, and met periodically with their negotiator to review their bargaining position; WHEREAS, the negotiator on behalf of the City of Manhattan Beach (“City”) and the Manhattan Beach Firefighters’ Association (“MBFA”) have met and conferred in good faith to reach an agreement on the terms and conditions of employment contained in the MOU, and the MBFA has ratified the new Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”).
NOW THEREFORE, THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves and adopts the MOU between the City and the MBFA for the period of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2029.
SECTION 2. The Human Resources Director or her designee shall administer the terms of the MOU on behalf of the City.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
