RESOLUTION NO. 26-0075
A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL DETERMINING A CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION FROM THE CEQA GUIDELINES FOR THE FENCE REPLACEMENT Project AT MARINE AVE PARK SOCCER FIELD; APPROVING THE FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS; AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO Harris Steel Fence Co., Inc; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE ADDITIONAL WORK, IF NECESSARY THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council has reviewed the plans and specifications for the Fence Replacement at Marine Ave Park Soccer Field (“Project”) and hereby finds the Project categorically exempt from applicable provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (minor alteration of existing public facilities, involving negligible or no expansion of use).
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby approves the final plans and specifications for the Project.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby approves that certain agreement (“Agreement”) between the City of Manhattan Beach and Harris Steel Fence Co., Inc. (“Contractor”), dated July 21, 2026, for the Fence Replacement at Marine Ave Park Soccer Field (“Project”), in the amount of $96,155.03.
SECTION 4. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City Manager to execute the Agreement and further authorizes the City Manager and/or his or her designee to pay Contractor up to an additional $14,424.97 for additional work, if necessary.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution.
