There is already a dearth of
parking for employees of
businesses. If you don’t get
here by 8:00 the garages
are full. And anytime there is
an event, ie, AVP, you can’t
find parking by 9:00 even in
lots with reserved passes.
You already oversell passes.
16 parking spots is a joke. Not
to mention this intersection is
one of the most unsafe with
pedestrians..
N/A
This town needs more
parking. You are pushing out
the small businesses that
make MB so charming.

Security,especially at night re:
teens congregating,
homeless people. There
needs to be some shade
provided. As you know, it’s
very sunny in MB. Finally, I
would like to see a traffic
study if that street is shut
down.

For those living in or near
downtown, closing
roadways when it is already
overly congested and
ingress and egress is dismal,
is not a workable idea.

Our council should consider
the needs of local residents.
Why fix what is not broken?
We are already overly
congested for the size of our
downtown. How about a
nice park or dog park for
people living and supporting
MB to enjoy?

Nothing!!!
Downtown is WAY
overcrowded now. It takes
me 20 extra minutes to get
to MBB when I can’t use
Morningside. You’re isolating
us residents even more for
the purpose of potential
financial gain for a few
businesses. We are zoned
RESIDENTIAL here.
Hermosa’s pla
za has caused
terrible crime (you know the
stories!!!) so much that their
PD doesn’t want to even go
there! PLEASE don’t add this
circus element to our
neighborhood. I have recent
photos of FOURTY People at
EACH CORNER of Highland
and MBB waiting to cross
.
Please quit making us into a
tourist destination for the
financial gain of investors!!!
I’m sure! Very bad idea!
Make this a facility to serve
the community since it’s our
money used to buy this
property!

i absolutely love the idea of a
pedestrian plaza area and
think shutting down that road
will help the congestion on mb
blvd during busy times.
n/a
m/a
it’s a gorgeous concept. i just
don’t think it needs to take up
quite so much space. that
green space on mb blvd is
very popular with dog
owners. also, keep in mind
delivery trucks and drivers.
the surface parking should be
primarily for loading and
sho
rt term parking. that
would help out local
neighbors tremendously.

I think the idea of having
retractable pylons is great
because it allows for
flexibility of the space, but
I'm concerned if it's to close
the street for the
predominant amount of
time which might bottleneck
traffic, particularly in the
summer.
If you plan on using that
space for art walks, farmer's
markets, etc, then where is the
extra parking and how do
you intend to handle the
traffic you are bottlenecking?
I'm also wildly opposed to the
idea that there will be more
dining and food and
bevera
ge establishments. I
think the space should be
monetized with retail or other
commercial facilities, whether
that be medical offices,
wellness facilities, etc.
