A RESOLUTION OF THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MANHATTAN BEACH AND CIRCUIT TRANSIT INC. TO EXTEND ON-DEMAND POINT-TO-POINT LOCAL MICROSTRANSIT PILOT PROGRAM SERVICES FOR AN ADDITIONAL SEVEN MONTHS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $242,851 AND ALLOCATING PROPOSITION A FUNDS FOR THE SERVICES, AND TO ALLOCATE RELATED MICROSTRANSIT PILOT PROGRAM REVENUE TO PROPOSITION A FUND.
THE MANHATTAN BEACH CITY COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an Agreement between the City of Manhattan Beach and Circuit Transit, Inc. for a seven-month term extension for on-demand point-to-point local microtransit pilot program services between the months of December 2026 and June 2027 for an amount not to exceed $242,851.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby authorizes expenditure appropriations in the amount of $242,851 within the Proposition A Fund in FY 2027 and a corresponding revenue appropriation of $41,344 to factor the fare revenues during the seven-month extension period (December 2026 through June 2027). An additional revenue appropriation of $32,738 is authorized to capture the estimated fare revenues during the original pilot phase within FY 2027, covering July 2026 through November 2026.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to allocate all related pilot program revenue beginning in June 2026 to the Proposition A Local Return Fund.
SECTION 4. The Council hereby directs the City Manager to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
