RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A BUDGET APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,274.00 FOR A CHANGE ORDER TO THE MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS AGREEMENT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT P25 RADIO SYSTEM UPGRADE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN THE CHANGE ORDER WHEREAS, on December 1, 2020, the City of Manteca (“the City”) entered into an agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc. (“Motorola”) for a P25 Radio System Upgrade to upgrade its dispatch radios; and WHEREAS, due to circumstances beyond the City’s control, implementation of this upgrade has been delayed; and WHEREAS, the City has now entered into an agreement with a third party to provide an ELAN connection, which will address one of the causes of the delays to implementation of this upgrade; and WHEREAS, the remaining cause of the delay can be remedied by adding a repeater to the existing scope of the agreement between the parties, which will necessitate an increase in the contract price of $30,274.00; and WHEREAS, the need to upgrade the City’s broadband infrastructure and add a repeater has resulted in a corresponding need to extend the contract implementation period to February 28, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the amendment to Agreement No. C2020-162 and the change order with Motorola Solutions to increase the contract amount by $30,274.00 and extend the contract implementation date to February 28, 2022.
The City Council hereby approves the appropriation of $30,274.00 from Asset Seizure to account 100.11.00.260-6200.02 (Asset Seizure Special Department Supplies).
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
