RESOLUTION R22XX-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, authorizing AND APPROVING PERMITTING FEES FOR SHORT TERM RENTALS WHEREAS, the City of Manteca, by and through the City Council, approved a short term rental ordinance (Chapter 3.40) following a second reading of the ordinance at the January 18, 2022 regularly scheduled City Council meeting; and WHEREAS, the ordinance states that no owner of a rental unit shall advertise for rent or rent a lodging until located with a residential district for a short term without a valid short-term lodging permit for that unit (Chapter 3.40.040 Permit Required); and WHEREAS, the ordinance states an application or renewal application for a short-term lodging permit shall be accompanied by a fee established by resolution of the City Council (Chapter 3.40.080 Filing Fee); and WHEREAS, the fee shall be no greater than necessary to defer the cost incurred by the City in administering the provisions of the ordinance and for providing the answering service; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes, authorizes, and seeks to set the amount of the fee to not exceed the cost incurred by the City in administering the short term rental permit process; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby approves and authorizes the amount of permit fees of the short term ordinance (Chapter 3.40) as follows:
a) Permit Fee: $25
