Tell us about yourself (i.e. background, education, career experience, interests). 1 am a Psychology Major that attended San Francisco State University, and 1 have a 25+ year career in the Private Sector, spending the majority of that time within the Retail Management space, having operated and managed several different store formats and types. Most recently, I've taken on more operational roles on a national level within my current company, support a field operation consisting of 4 Regional-level direct reports and 22 District-level indirect reports, supporting 9 strategic retail partners ir 500+ retail doors throughout the US. I'm a family man that loves to play golf (when there's time), and have a strong interest in politics and the current state of our culture within the broader society. I very interested List any experiences you have serving on other Boards & Commissions in the City of Manteca or elsewhwere.

No experience on Boards and/or Commissions in the Public Sector, however within the Private Sector, I've served on various different councils and focus group committees within different organizations with different specific focus areas, all in the areas of growth and development of both existing and new systems.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee How did you hear about the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee vacancy? City of Manteca Twitter posting.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Why are you interested in serving on the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee? As a 6 year resident of the City of Manteca, I've grown interested in how our city can most effectively serve its residents. This committee opportunity is one of unique importance, given the dramatic increase in profile and growth of the City within San Joaquin County, and expected continual growth for the next 10+ years. I look forward to the opportunity to serve my fellow residents.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Please tell us about special qualifications you have that best suit the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee.

Budget management, including Profit & Loss (P&L) management, has been a key responsibility of mine in the Private Sector for the past 12 years. I have strong attention to detail, and not afraid to scrutinize where needed. As an analytical thinker, I believe I would be a good fit for this committee.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Millennial Advisory Committee What innovative ideas would you like to see implemented to encourage individuals to prosper in the City of Manteca?
The City of Manteca is experiencing record growth. Individuals of all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds are choosing to live in our City, and it is incumbent upon its leadership to make our community safe and accommodating for all new and existing residents. Our Downtown area is rich with history, yet is not current with the aspirations of a growing populace. This includes the Manteca Public Library and immediate surrounding area as well. We should revitalize the downtown area with the pretext of community and safety, so families and residents of all ages can enjoy what many other cities of similar size throughout Northern California can enjoy in their own downtown areas. This would encourage entrepreneurship and business development, at a time when so many have been displaced due to the Covid pandemic. Our City has a real opportunity to be a shining example for all other cities in Northern California, one than can lure entrepreneurs to assist in a robust Downtown revitalization initiative which ,would positively effect all residents of our City. Recruitment of our own residents to be a part of their community through their own business creation would create a stronger feeling of community, and a belief in City Government during challenging times. This includes programs for Manteca's homeless citizens as well, and how entrepreneurs can play a part here in partnership with our City Council. Increased business opportunities creates increased tax revenue streams, which creates increased opportunity for our City to prosper, and more importantly, serve its residents in dynamic new ways. Social media is potentially underutilized and undervalued as a tool to facilitate much of this. Our City has tremendous opportunity Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Millennial Advisory Committee What programs or events do you believe would connect individuals from different backgrounds, agencies, and lifestyles within the City of Manteca? A simplified approach in communication of City Government to all residents so that each area of our City understands their Leadership in City Government, their roles and responsibilities, and what roles the citizens of our City have to play. The Manteca Bulletin can assist, as the City's primary journalistic institution, as they have a duty to serve their readers throughout the City. Social Media campaigns to get residents into a "Civic Campaign" to be a part of their municipal government would lead to more involvement and more connection broadly across our community. The Manteca Public Library has a role to play here as well as a central destination for broadening awareness to what our City has to offer.

Community events should be held more regularly, with incentivized attendance, and not limited to special holidays or seasonal occurrences. Examples include civic events with City Leaders, business events with local businesses (e.g. wineries, food trucks, local retail, etc.), outdoor events in the summer that can draw crowds with attractions such as comedians, athletes, public speakers, and more. Events with State Government Leaders that represent our City as well are sparse and poorly advertised, and coordinating such events and broadcasting them for awareness would also enhance connection with our community.

Tell us about yourself (i.e. background, education, career experience, interests).

I've been a Manteca resident since 2019. I relocated my family from Brentwood and we purchased a new home in South Manteca. I currently work for Clorox as a Senior Supply Chain Lead, having been recruited to join them during the pandemic. I previously worked for Manteca's Delicato Family Wines as a Sourcing and Procurement Manager. I hold my Bachelors from Cal State East Bay and recently completed a graduate certificate in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University. I enjoy camping, backyard bbqs, and exploring parks and trails. I love the opportunity Manteca presents for my family and I am eager to get involved shaping our future as a family city by serving on the Public Safety Sales Tax Committee.

List any experiences you have serving on other Boards & Commissions in the City of Manteca or elsewhere.

In Brentwood, I was elected to my HOA Board of Directors. In Manteca, I was appointed to the inaugural MMAC. I helped shape goals and bylaws before stepping away in November 2020 to focus on an education opportunity during the pandemic. My thought was to let another millennial have the chance to serve and that I'd get back involved in public service as my certificate program finished. I'm hoping this is my chance!

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Why are you interested in serving on the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee? To become an active participant in our city government by engaging with leadership to review 1/2 cent and use tax revenues and their expenditures

I lead cross functional teams to deliver projects and products to customers on budget and on time in my profession, I'd bring those same skills, and passion, to this committee Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Millennial Advisory Committee What innovative ideas would you like to see implemented to encourage individuals to prosper in the City of Manteca?
I'd like to see Manteca pursue a commercial kitchen, open to the community, to facilitate an epicenter of CFO's! This would help residents, and Manteca, prosper financially. With passage of AB1144, residents have amble opportunity to prosper on their own and a commercial kitchen can and would assist those who don't have access to a viable home kitchen.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Millennial Advisory Committee What programs or events do you believe would connect individuals from different backgrounds, agencies, and lifestyles within the City of Manteca? In my personal life, I have always connected with others through food. You can learn a lot about culture, history, and people through eating, and cooking, with others. I believe food focused programs or events can help connect our diverse population in Manteca.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Please tell us about special qualifications you have that best suit the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee.

I am the staff liaison to the Measure V oversight committee for the City of Tracy, which is 1/2 cent sales tax.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Millennial Advisory Committee What innovative ideas would you like to see implemented to encourage individuals to prosper in the City of Manteca?
I am not sure of the scope of this question as it pertains to the sales tax, there are limits to its use. Clear transparency as to the use gives citizens more confidence in their local government.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Millennial Advisory Committee What programs or events do you believe would connect individuals from different backgrounds, agencies, and lifestyles within the City of Manteca? More community events and promote current ones. I enjoyed the market on maple last year when it started, but it seemed to fizzle out.

Tell us about yourself (i.e. background, education, career experience, interests). 1 am a homeowner in Manteca, and have worked for the City of Stockton for 24 years. My current job, as of February 2022, is Housing Manager in Economic Development. I previously managed grants, revenues, contracts, and budget for the Stockton Police Department Fiscal Affairs Unit. Our division oversaw spending and committee reporting for Measure W and Measure A. My husband and I raised a blended family of five children who are 21-27. We have six grandchildren and one more expected in August. We enjoy time with our two dogs, traveling, hiking, and I'm working on my green thumb and gardening. We feel blessed we were able to purchase our home in 2020 in Manteca. We have always appreciated the small (but growing in good ways) town and peace we have here. We love our neighbors also. My son played football at MHS and it was a great City to raise him in. I am in the process of becoming a CASA volunteer and have volunteered for Stockton Scholars as a mentor.

List any experiences you have serving on other Boards & Commissions in the City of Manteca or elsewhwere.

I have not previously served on a board or commission but am familiar with several in Stockton, including the Civil Service Commission working in HR, City Council preparing staff reports, Measure A and Measure Win reporting for PD, and most recently the Community Development Committee working with CBDG grant funds. I applied for the EEOC for Stanislaus County but moved here and had to withdraw my application in 2020.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee How did you hear about the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee vacancy? Facebook and Linkedin. I also received an email.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Why are you interested in serving on the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee? I believe my experience in overseeing Stockton's public safety tax measures will provide a good knowledge base for representing Manteca citizens in ensuring fiscal accountability for public safety funds.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Please tell us about special qualifications you have that best suit the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee.

As stated above, I have professional fiscal management experience in a local municipal police department that included public safety tax revenues and expenditures for sworn law enforcement positions. My unit also oversaw the position control tracking for the allocated positions. We also prepared the annual budget and salary projections. I have prepared staff reports and PowerPoint preservations for the committee meetings and annual updates to City Council.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Millennial Advisory Committee What innovative ideas would you like to see implemented to encourage individuals to prosper in the City of Manteca?
Manteca is on the right track for business and housing growth. Adding cannabis revenues to the budget that many other surrounding cities have leveraged even during the pandemic, was the right path to move Manteca forward as an innovative and fiscally healthy community. I'd like to see infrastructure and traffic planning to accommodate all of the growth. Access can be very limited with the heavy amount of train service and lack of alternate routes. Manteca could support a retail outlet hub given the amount of local shoppers traveling to Livermore currently. It's overcrowded and Manteca would be a great SJC location, with the available storefronts near Bass Pro Shop.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Why are you interested in serving on the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee? I wish to continue serving the people of Manteca, bringing my wide experience and knowledge to see that the Public Safety sales tax funds are well spent, with effectiveness and efficiency within the legal framework of the enabling ordinance. Known as Measure M, the Public Safety Sales Tax has been a true blessing to our public safety departments and I have been very honored to serve on the committee.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Please tell us about special qualifications you have that best suit the Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee.

I have served on the PSSTOC since 2019 and am the current chair. In addition to being a councilman, I am a retired reserve police officer (Concord PD). I serve as the treasurer for the American Legion Post 249, am a long time member of the Manteca Chamber of Commerce and a member and immediate past president of Sunrise Kiwanis.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Millennial Advisory Committee What innovative ideas would you like to see implemented to encourage individuals to prosper in the City of Manteca?
Well staffed professional public safety departments are essential for our community to prosper. I believe an increase of the Public Safety Sales Tax by one half of one cent should be considered, along with a well planned campaign to secure voter approval. Use of non-sworn personnel and volunteers needs to be continued and strengthened so that sworn personnel can concentrate on their basic duties. Multi-faceted programs to minimize the root cause of homelessness must be developed and implemented as well as treatment programs of those suffering mental health and addiction issues.

Question applies to Public Safety Sales Tax Oversight Committee Millennial Advisory Committee What programs or events do you believe would connect individuals from different backgrounds, agencies, and lifestyles within the City of Manteca? The 'coffee with a cop/firefighter' programs need to be encouraged and deserve much better publicity plus support by the council. Stronger Neighborhood Watch programs are needed, as well as establishing a more coherent community policing policy. Re-establish the citizen police academy and encourage citizens to do ride-along's, as well as more frequent open houses at our fire stations. Establishing volunteer programs for other than seniors.

More city sponsored/city involved events would be great. This lets everyone get in direct contact with those who run the city and can have their questions or concerns heard directly. I went to coffee with a cop for the police department which let me speak directly to command staff who heard my concerns as a resident and also as a business owner.
