RESOLUTION NO. 2022-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVAL OF OPERATING TRANSFER FROM THE SELF INSURANCE RISK FUND AND BUDGET APPROPRIATION TO GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, on April 26, 2021, Manteca Police Department Unit 5204 (“Unit 5204”) was totaled in a traffic collision where the citizen driver was completely at-fault; and WHEREAS, on December 14, 2021, the City of Manteca received a check in the amount of $24,640.00 from the Municipal Pooling Authority as compensation for Unit 5204; and WHEREAS, the Manteca Police Department needs the $24,640.00, plus $22,360.00, for a total of $47,000.00 to replace Unit 5204; and WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the General Fund to provide this additional money to the Manteca Police Department to replace Unit 5204; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council of the City of Manteca does hereby transfer the amount of $24,360 from Self Insurance Risk Fund Reserves (860) to General Fund Undesignated Reserves (100).
The City Council of the City of Manteca authorizes a budget appropriation of $47,000 ($24,360 and an additional $22,360) from General Fund Undesignated Reserves to Police Admin Capital Outlay Equipment Replacement (Account No. 100.11.00.001-7000.04).
4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 19th day of April, 2022, by the following vote:
