RESOLUTION R2022-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH BEAR ELECTRICAL SOLUTIONS FOR STREETLIGHT AND TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES WHEREAS, the City of Manteca has need of the specialized services required to maintain the Streetlights and Traffic Signals within the City and said services have historically been contracted out to an electrical service contractor with the expertise and equipment to properly maintain said equipment; and WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for lighting and signal services to several bidders’ exchanges, which outlined the project requirements, scope of work, and professional qualifications needed to conduct the work; and WHEREAS, after evaluating and ranking the proposals, Bear Electrical Solutions was determined to be the best qualified firm for the City of Manteca’s needs; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves the agreement as presented between the City of Manteca and Bear Electrical Solutions in an amount not to exceed one million six hundred fifty thousand dollars ($1,650,000.00).
The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the agreement and authorize and execute any future amendment to extend the same for one or both of its one-year (1 year) extensions.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve and execute all change orders or other amendments provided the total compensation does not exceed the authorized amount.
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 19th day of April, 2022, by the following vote:
