RESOLUTION R2022-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF THE CONTRACT WITH GRAYSHIFT, LLC TO PURCHASE THE GRAYKEY LICENSES AND HARDWARE WHEREAS, the Manteca Police Department (“the Department”) needs equipment and software to access electronic communication devices to obtain information for investigations; and WHEREAS, Grayshift, LLC has proprietary software and hardware, Graykey, that meets the Department’s requirements; and WHEREAS, funding for the purchase of the Graykey hardware and software was previously approved on March 1, 2022; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Manager or designee is hereby authorized to sign the end user license agreement and any purchase agreement with Grayshift LLC for the software and hardware to operate the Graykey program as outlined in the quote dated September 3, 2021.
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 19th day of April, 2022, by the following vote:
