RESOLUTION R20XX-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE AWARD FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT & INSPECTION SERVICES OF THE AIRPORT WAY PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (CIP 11027) AND LIBRARY PARKING LOT RENOVATION (CIP 22062) TO TRC ENGINEERS, INC.
WHEREAS, to ensure the continued road maintenance of City streets, Public Works proposed construction of the Airport Way Pavement Improvements Project (CIP 11027) and Library Parking Lot Renovation (CIP 22062); and WHEREAS, the Construction Management & Inspection Services will be done by a consultant for both projects. A Request For Proposals was published and the City received five submittals for Construction Management & Inspection Services. TRC Engineers, Inc was selected after reviewing the consultant proposal qualifications; and WHEREAS, the City Council awards TRC Engineers, Inc. the Construction Management & Inspection Services contract in an amount of $311,456.62 for the Airport Way Pavement Improvements Project (CIP 11027) and Library Parking Lot Renovation (CIP 22062); and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
Awards the Construction Management & Inspection Services contract for construction of Airport Way Pavement Improvements Project (CIP 11027) and Library Parking Lot Renovation (CIP 22062) to TRC Engineers, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $311,456.62.
Appropriate $327,730 from RTIF Undesignated Fund Balance to the Airport Way Widening/Pavement Improvement Account (430.00.00.900-8150.35) for Construction Management and Inspection services.
Appropriate $14,870 from Development Fees Fund Public Facilities Fees Reserve to Library Parking Lot Renovation Account (250.00.00.964-8000.12) for Construction Management and Inspection services.
Authorizes the City Manager or designee to sign the Construction Management & Inspection Services contract; and authorize the City Manager or designee to extend construction management & inspection services contracts.
Authorizes the City Manager or designee to approve project contingency not to exceed 5% ($15,572.19), and issue change orders not to exceed 5% ($15,572.19) for project total $342,601.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 17th day of May, 2022, by the following vote:
