time served.

ATTACHMENT 1
Observations on or about Manteca During our Term
“(There is a) Lack of diversity in businesses and establishments. As the city grows, it is very important to embrace diversity as this will fuel the growth of the City in general
“Citizens are unaware/apathetic/misinformed about city revenues and services.”
“Great at developing and building new homes”
“Schools and parks offer a sense of community and proximity to these amenities are excellent”
“The citizens I've spoken with are up in arms with how Manteca has been ran and the direction it is going. They're not happy with infrastructure, homeless, economic and planning development. I believe the city needs to do a better job with their outreach to citizens and to be more transparent on what they're doing with growth.”

Continued Observations
“I'm happy to see that things are changing in a positive direction, overall. Manteca is not the tiny farm town many of us were born into, and it's time leadership started looking forward rather than maintain the white bread status quo. I'm really hoping we continue to progress in the right direction, with opportunities and resources for all residents. However - I am, and will continue to be, surprised about the silence from leadership on plans for new schools to accommodate all the new developments…
I also believe we're headed towards a groundwater crisis. It would be nice to see more proactive, public facing environmental initiatives to see Manteca serve as an example of responsible growth.”

We see ourselves as a voice of the millennial residents of Manteca. Through our social media we have created a platform that has an audience of like-minded business and residents. The ability for them to communicate with us and us with them organically is a strength of our committee.

In coming term we will shift focus to attend city council and planning meetings. We’d like to scale back the number of events and activities we do and focus our energy on meetings and learning from city leaders and about city issues.
