RESOLUTION R20XX-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CAGWIN & DOWARD FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR CITY-OWNED PROPERTIES WHEREAS, the City of Manteca has need for maintenance service of landscape areas for a number of City-owned properties; and WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for landscape maintenance services to several landscape maintenance contractors, which outlined the requirements, scope of work, and professional qualifications needed to conduct the work; and WHEREAS, after evaluating and ranking the proposals, Cagwin & Dorward was determined the be the best qualified firm for the City of Manteca’s needs; and WHEREAS, staff is recommending a three (3) year agreement with an option for two (2) one-year extensions available for consideration at the end of the three-year term; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
2. The City Council hereby approves the agreement between the City of Manteca and Cagwin & Dorward for Landscape Maintenance Services for City-owned properties for an amount not-to-exceed three hundred and fifteen thousand dollars ($315,000).
3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the agreement and extend the agreement’s term for two (2) additional one-year extensions.
4. The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve and execute all change orders of other amendments provided the total compensation does not exceed the authorized amount.
5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 7th day of June, 2022, by the following vote:
