RESOLUTION R2022-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANTECA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE EASEMENTS, LOCATED IN THE EXISTING S. MAIN STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY ABUTTING THE GRIFFIN PARK SUBDIVISION, QUITCLAIMED TO THE CITY OF MANTECA BY THE SOUTH SAN JOAQUIN IRRIGATION DISTRICT WHEREAS, as part of the Griffin Park subdivision development, the developer was required by the South San Joaquin Irrigation District (SSJID) to realign portions of Lateral X so the lateral is aligned within the subdivision’s roadways; and WHEREAS, there are portions of the existing SSJID easements, which contain the Lateral X piping that will no longer be connected to SSJID’s system; and WHEREAS, the Developer has worked with SSJID to have the easements quitclaimed to the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Manteca, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
2. The City Council hereby accepts the easements quitclaimed to the City of Manteca by the South San Joaquin Irrigation District in the existing S. Main Street right-of-way abutting the Griffin Park Subdivision.
3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to record the Quitclaim with the San Joaquin County Recorder’s Office after the quitclaim deeds are signed by the President and Secretary of the SSJID Board of Directors.
4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Manteca at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 7th day of June 2022, by the following vote:
